The Metropolitan Lawn & Garden Show is Kansas City's premier consumer Show dedicated to the green industry. Products and services exhibited include landscaping, power equipment, statuary, lawn maintenance, water gardens, decks, seeds, plants and bulbs, patio furniture, mulch, bird houses and baths, trees, shrubbery, fountains, gazebos, fencing, driveways, stonework, pottery, garden tools, fertilizer, water garden accessories, and ornamental outdoor décor.

Step right up and behold the Devil with Two Heads! Witness scorpions that glow-in-the-dark! Experience the offending stench of the Giant Vinageroon! Freakish, bewildering marvels of the insect world are on display in Dr. Entomo's Palace of Exotic Wonders. Resembling an old-fashioned circus sideshow, this exhibit explores the truth, myths and mysteries surrounding some of natureŐs most curious creatures Đ many of them alive and on view.





Amy Stewart

Amy Stewart tends a poison garden of her own in northern California. She is the award-winning author of four books on the perils and pleasures of the natural world.

Her essays and commentaries have appeared in the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Garden Design, Organic Gardening, and elsewhere. She's been featured on NPR, Good Morning America and CBS Sunday Morning. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and a California Horticultural Society Writer's Award.
